Emirates Airlines Dubai Literary Festival 2009 - 08/03/2009

Jamil wishes to thank Emirates Airlines for fabulous hospitality and an incredibly well organised inaugural literary festival. Jamil was one of the guests of honour for the four day event, and was asked to speak on the opening day with three other English authors, Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Kate Adie, and Ian Hislop. The event, opened by HRH Sheikh Makhtoum, saw a select number of international authors talk about their work and sign copies of their books for the public. It will no doubt play a big part in the annual Dubai cultural calendar.
