Jamil appointed spokesperson for HSBC - Values of Sport 08/10/07 - 12/10/2007

HSBC Values of Sport have commissioned a study to explore links between the values most desired in children and the sports best placed to teach them. This study concludes that nearly 8 out of 10 people believe sport is crucial in helping teach children important ‘life-skills’ such as decision making , initiative, fair-play and self-confidence. Jamil has been appointed as a spokesperson for this initiative and has been interviewed on radio and TV about the link between different sports and specific values they help to instil in the younger generation. “Intuitively, many of us believe sport can help in young people’s development, but this study breaks new ground in revealing how different sports drive different values, parents can now choose a sport for their children based on the values whey consider most important.”
